Simon Thorogood - Director

My name is Simon Thorogood. Born and raised in the Fraser Valley, I’ve always had a strong connection to our agricultural and rural communities. I’m a licensed paramedic and a full-time student at the JIBC Paramedic Academy in Chilliwack, with a substantial history in community event planning, fundraising, and committee service for both private and public events, from small gatherings to large-scale productions. I also bring specialized experience in event medicine, safety, and security, along with time spent working for a youth support non-profit. I’m excited for the opportunity to contribute to Agrifair’s ongoing success, strengthen the fair that has been part of our community for over a century, and help ensure long-term sustainability for years to come.
